Canvas

UCR is making the switch to Canvas! In response to faculty requests for a new learning management system platform, UCR began piloting the application during Summer Session II and continued through Winter 2021. More courses will be added each subsequent quarter over the next two years with the goal of retiring iLearn by June 2022. Across the UCs, eight (8) of the UC campuses and academic programs are in Canvas.

If you are interested in teaching your course using eLearn (Canvas) this Spring 2021, please complete the request form by March 17, 2021.

Please note that the UCR Canvas pilot instance is currently unable to accommodate merge requests. If the course you want to teach in Canvas requires a merge request, then the course will need to remain in iLearn until Summer 2021.

Also, the UCR Canvas pilot instance cannot currently accommodate requests for early access for waitlisted students. Students would need to be fully enrolled in the course in Banner in order to get course access.

Summer 2021 registration will open in May 2021.
